BeautiControl Eye Shadow

As I’m hoping to build my business and clientele with BeautiControl, this is the place I know I can reach out to people whether it’s from linking this on my Facebook to someone Google searching swatches, so these are the eye shadow trios of BeautiControl I have collected so far.
I received some as free gifts from doing some of the incentives with BeautiConrol through recruiting, sales, etc. A couple I have bought for demo/personal use.
Keep in mind, all are swatched using the BeautiControl Shadow Control Crème in Natural as a primer base. This has mica in the ingredients, so there still is a little shimmer. Some prefer to just use this as an eye shadow all by itself. There is also a pink tinted one and brown…kind of like the Indelible shadows that I love!

Here’s a picture with just the primer on—it’s light and natural with a slight shimmer.

THIS IS A PICTURE HEAVY POST

Onto the eyeshadows!!

EvilShades HAUL

Alright, so I had to find a mattifying powder (my Aromaleigh one finally ran out :[ ) so I started hunting one night.
I decided to try EvilShades Matte Silk since I hadn't ordered from Andrea in a while, and saw a few eyeshadows I wanted to try out too! I got the blogger sampler pack and colors I had not tried out yet since she's released new collections.

Here's my haul :)

I think the new packaging for the samples is nice, although it can be a little messy if the product seeps into the little grooves. Plus I prefer baggies because of the ability to have a sample binder :) Other than that, I think they are adorable.

Here are the swatches!!
Since these are so time consuming editing pictures and putting their names on, I only did it to one picture =/
I swatched on bare skin, indelible primer, and Pixie Epoxy

In order from wrist to forearm is
Potion
Incantation
Atomic Blush
Backtalk Blush
Illusive
Nightshade
Heartless Queen

I swatched the blush before I realized it was blush or else those two would have been separate from the other eyeshadows.

I love the blush Atomic, it's hard to tell from the pictures but it has a slight fushia duochrome which makes it gorgeous as not just a blush but even highlight!

I LOVE Incantation. Potion and Incantation are pretty close, although I noticed Incantation seems to have slight blue sparkles, but as you can tell, they are pretty close in color.

I also like Heartless Queen, as that will replace my Aromaleigh Rocks! in HelterSkelter in due time.

Obviously Pixie Epoxy does not do well with mattes, so Illusive and Nightshade don't look to well. I am curious to try them out with just a creme primer though--usually purples are hard to use because they don't seem to stick on my eye, I'm guessing it's just the color itself because I had trouble with some purple Aromaleigh shadows back in the day.

ONTO THE LIPS
In the EvilShades sampler pack, I got to choose two lip colors, so I chose Fearless and Roue.

Fearless is a cute hot pink, leaning closer to magenta. It lasts pretty long too and does not dry my lips.

Roue is every vampires dream. Although my camera doesn't show it well, it is dark deep blood red with high shine.

I left to run some errands and blotted it off to be more as a lip stain and it had pretty nice staying power. And it smells like
cherry =D

I did try the mattifying powder last night and it makes my face feel SO soft--it almost reminds me of the same texture as Meow Cosmetics' Equilibrium Balanceing Powder. It did mattify it, but made my face dry =/ I'll need to experiment because a little definitely goes a long way!

Anyway, enjoy! I have some not necessarily swatches, but makeup "looks" with BeautiControl eyeshadows to give you a look at their colors and vibrancy.

Morgana Minerals Lipstick Swatches PT. I

I promised I would have the Morgana Minerals vegan lipstick swatches up soon, so here's Part I. These are all of the bright/colored lipstick samples I have. Some of them are a little on the dried-out side since I've had them for a while, so they might not look TOO good in the pictures. But I assure you, when I first got them, they were moist and went on beautifully.

Morgana's vegan lipsticks are long-lasting, some are very opaque, and all are VERY moisturizing--even the black lippies!! They are priced at 50 cents for a sample, and $10.00 for a fullsize, which I thought was overpriced at first, but that's when I didn't know much about "vegan/all natural" products--they're a bit more expensive to produce! You figure MAC crap is over $15 for a lipstick, amirite? And MAC isn't vegan!

Plus you can get unusual colors at anytime of the year at Morgana Minerals that you would normally have to wait 'til Halloween to buy!

Melissa of Morgana Minerals is also working on vegan lipglosses, due to be released sometime this month, in which all of us in the beauty world that know of Morgana Minerals are itching to try!

Onto the swatches!

Morgana Minerals mini-review and eyeshadow swatches

Hello again everyone!

Today I am blogging about Morgana Minerals. Morgana Minerals is a small little company based in Arizona and is run by a woman named Melissa. The company's website is pretty easy to navigate, and you can make a wish list of all the pretty-sparkly-omgiwant stuff. There is also a forum, but it is rarely active :/

I was posting a bunch of reviews one night of the lipsticks on Morgana's website and I got an email the next morning from Melissa thanking me for the good reviews and asked if I wanted to pre-order the Azaela Blue vegan lipstick. Ooohhh I SOO wanted it (and it was very nice of her to have contacted me from my 3498439 reviews on her site!), but didn't have the money, so a lucky person stole/bought my potential lipstick :(

That's as far as I've gotten with customer service. She was really nice when I talked to her for that brief time. I don't think I've seen a bad review of MM yet, so don't be scared to try them! Even if you have all the eyeshadows in the world, at least TRY THE LIPSTICKS! THEY'RE AMAZING!

Anyway.

Fyrinnae: mini-review and swatches

Alright everyone! I ordered my Fyrinnae samples ages ago, but rarely used them. I swatched them, then put them back in my makeup stash and they've been there every since!

I've only ordered once, and the shipping took a couple weeks (they are always backed up by 1-2 weeks anyway), so for the time frame, it's what I expected. There are raves all over blogs about Fyrinnae, and I first heard about them from Phyrra.

Their colors are SO saturated, as you will see in my pictures, that they look DAMN good on bare skin without any sort of primer. Usually most colors are washed out--the 7 I have swatched look pretty nice without even using a shadow base or the pixie epoxy.

You can order samples (which come in jars!), and they cost around 2.00. The samples are pretty generous (1/3 tsp), so they would last a while until you decided if you wanted a full size.

Yesterday I decided to try my sample of their Glow Blush in Enchant, and I was appalled that I had never given it a shot before!! It looks like a bright orange in the jar, but goes on a peachy-pink sheen that looks very sun-kissed! Would look excellent on someone that has paler skin than me!

So tonight I'm breaking out my little stash of Fyrinnae's eyeshadows, the three lip lustres I own, my sample of blush, and will be using their very own Pixie Epoxy for their shadow awesomeness demonstration.

EvilShades Cosmetics mini-review and swatches

Alright, well I placed an order with EvilShades in November of December of last year. I remember it didn't take long to ship to me, and I fell in love with the colors.

But I only wore this brand (don't remember which color!) once.

Why?

Because I have an endless stash of Aromaleigh, of course!

A few days ago I decided to break out my sample binder and play with these shadows! The samples are very generous, and do not cost that much. I'd recommend getting the sample set and try all the colors--they are all beautiful. I didn't think I'd wear something like Mysteria of the Illusions shadows, but it would be a very pretty highlight color!

I'm wearing Banshee and Venom today, and so far so good, they haven't creased on me!

Today, I am giving you swatches galore of the shadows I have, as well as the four lipglosses I own. I bought a sample set of shadows back then, and I believe these are her current colors right now. I believe the only ones I don't have is the wonderland eye shadow set.
