Alright, so I'm trying to get back into the mode of loving makeup and this week I am doing a slideshow for the whole week of each days' makeup. Therefore, I am forcing myself to get up earlier in the morning to actually DO my makeup so that I don't have an empty day :]

FOTD Extravaganza!

Since I am too lazy to post everything into individual posts, and I don't know the dates of when I did these (nor do I remember some of the colors I used!) I will post this solely for makeup ideas for you gals out there!

I think I'm going to start a Photobucket weekly slideshow of my makeup for the day...maybe it'll get my creative streak back into play!

EOTN (eye of the night!)

I went to one of many of Zach's indoor soccer games tonight. I asked him to pick a color before I did my makeup and he said hot pink to match his leagues shirt color. Come to find out they changed their teams' color to lime green (I'm thinking Aromaleigh Estranged here!!) when we got there, but this was still fun.

Eyeshadow Jar Storage Help!

Alright girls, I need your help! I have been using my 8616 Plano tackle box as storage for all my makeup. I had to clean it out a couple of days ago from all the glitter fallout (I should've made a Le Mystere color haha!) and am thinking about changing my storage case.

I've seen that some use the sterilite plastic drawers to store, but I don't like that you can't just pick it up and carry it off, plus I don't want to clutter up my bathroom.

I remember reading one blogger used a little case from Michaels that stored her jars perfectly, which is a good idea, but I have another problem (hence why I don't want to use my tackle box anymore):

My shadows are stored in my tackle box sideways so you can see the color from the side. Whenever I do carry it around, the vibration of the shadows clanking together unscrews the caps, thus wasting valuable colors and causing a big glitter mess! =[

I am trying to figure out a way to store my shadows stacking upon each other upright. I found another tackle box that is smaller than the one that I use currently, and I was thinking if I could find something short enough to store maybe 4-5 upon each other to fit in the big open space in the tackle box, I would be happy!

Any suggestions? Send me pictures, links, anything--I need to find something soon because my bathroom counter and floor is covered in makeup and brushes and lippies!

Meow Foundation Results!

I am a 2N in Aromaleigh's Glissade formula, when I get lighter I mix in 1N Voile. I don't know why I mix the two different formulations, to me I don't feel a difference.

Anyway, I am a level 2 (frisky) Chartreux in Meow's foundation. For some reason though I only ordered it in the Purrrfect Puss formulation, so I'll have to try a sample of Pampered Puss....gah!

I even took some out and swatched my AL 2N Glissade and it looks like a dead on match so YAY :D

I'm guessing then I would mix in some of level 1 (sleek) Chartreux during winter. Anyway I'm so glad it wasn't too complicated and I'm only out twenty bucks....I love companies that provide samples!

I've never messed with undertones/overtones so it's kind of nice knowing that I have peach and yellow undertones from Meow's description. Aromaleigh's N was neutral so I just thought I had an even balance of undertones?

I will use my sample tomorrow for work and see how it wears/feels and update you!

MEOW HAUL

Well since the lovely Aromaleigh is shutting down ( :[ ) I realized I have to find a new company to order foundation from. Aromaleigh was the first and only mineral foundation I've ever used and I LOVE it.

Well, I have heard great things from Phyrra about Meow Cosmetics' foundation, so I ordered a buttload of samples to see what formulation I am. I am trying out both Pampered and Purrrfect formulations to see which works better for my skin.

edit to add: I am noticing that Pampered and Purrrfect formulations are different shades in the same color so I would advise you if you aren't sure what color level, let alone formulation you'll like best, order in BOTH if not ALL THREE formulations because your color could be off and you wouldn't want to waste money on a full size of the WRONG color!

BACK FROM THE DEAD!

I know, I'm such a bad girl. Lot's of stuff happened from when I FIRST started this blog.

I was living in Vegas with my boyfriend, and things didn't end to well with my relationship there, so I had to move back to good ol' Bakersfield, CA at the end of May. OR maybe it was April. I forgot. Hah.

Not happy that I moved back, I locked myself in my cave room and refused to be social for a couple of months. Anyway, things are much better now! I'm getting ready to start beauty school (YAY!) and get my future rolling. This will TOTALLY help my beauty blog, as I will have tips and random reviews from school and such. Not to mention I met a beautiful boy named Zack thanks to one of my ex-bandmates and things are very good between us two.

Onto what we've all been waiting for:
TODAY'S FOTD! O.O
The pics aren't very good because I was using my phone for the shots...I'm too lazy to put batteries into my camera =/ but you get the idea:

Review: The Everyday Diva--UPDATE 5/11

Okay, so let me tell you about this lovely company.

Everyday Diva is a little Etsy shop I found on March 20 of this year (I'm looking at my invoice!) after noticing my Noah's Naturals was running low and it seemed like they discontinued their products!

I was looking for a paraben- sulfate-free facial cleanser that wouldn't dry my face out or be too harsh for everyday use. I searched on Etsy for some unknown reason, and came across The Everyday Diva Co.

Back then, she had JUST started the company...I want to say it was only open for 2-3 weeks before I found it. There weren't as many products or scents as there are now, but I caught a feeling for the ones she did have.

I only bought the 3-piece acne care system, as I was on a budget and technically wasn't supposed to spend ANY money, but a girl's gotta have a pretty face, right?

OVER 9 HOURS OF WEAR AND NO CREASING!!!

(these might look like fake pics since I'm wearing the same night dress >.< but you can tell I'm a bit shiny in these pics since I've taken a shower and my foundation and lippie has washed off!)

YESTERDAY'S FYRINNAE HAUL!

I know, I know, I haven't been around. I quit my job Saturday, our car is acting up, we're not moving on the first; everything that could go wrong WENT wrong, so I've been busy trying to keep my sanity!!

Yesterday while Andrew and I were watching a movie, one of the kids knocked on our door, and I got my Fyrinnae package!!!

I ordered:

Lip Lustre Mini: Trickster
Lip Lustre Mini: Ghostly Voice
Lip Lustre Mini: Shangri-La
I had seen Candy Decadance Lip Lustre from Phyrra's blog, and sent a message to Fyrinnae after I sent my order if they could seperately charge my paypal for a full size if they were released on the site after my order. When my shipping conformation was sent out they left me an email saying they sent out a mini Candy Decadance with my order! yay!

(1) Velvet Gel Primer sample
(1) Velvet Gel Primer for Dry skin sample

Eyeshadows in:
Dressed to Kill
Freya
Japan
Pumpkinfire
(Arcane Magic) Glitterboi

and a highlighter called "In the Spotlight".

Pics? OK.

I love that zebra tissue paper!

I WILL have swatches of these colors soon, and they will be added to this post shortly (tomorrow when there's light out!)

My next post will show the awesomeness of my Dressed to Kill FOTD, which I wore/am wearing today!

I've Been M.I.A.... (New Hair, and Fantasy Makeup!)

My mom has been hounding me: Why haven't you posted anything??? (I know you're reading this mom!!)

So anyway, this week hasn't been a good one. It just seems like everything is going downhill and I'm trying to grab on and stay above water. Really depressed lately--lots of drama in Andrew's parents' household (I'll say it like that because we don't "live" here...if we were treated like actual tenants--we DO pay rent here!--the house would be clean(er) and people would show some respect to us.)

Yesterday I got my hair cut by one of my newest friend in Vegas, Cassie! We both kind of went in head first with the haircut. I had pics of my last "actual" haircut from a year ago, but I knew the bangs wouldn't turn out right because mine are still growing out from when I had them trimmed to do pin-up bangs for my ex-band. So we TRIED doing my picture's bangs, but they weren't looking good so we just cut them strait across. She narrowed my bangs down (they were REALLY wide) and made it look like those longer bangs are to frame my face. My longest layer got trimmed by, I don't know, 7-8 inches? The rest of my hair is layered crazily so when I pull it up, it looks like a palm tree.

I actually told her that: I want my hair to look like a palm tree when I tie it up.

I know, I'm weird.

Driving home, I looked in the rear view mirror and wondered if I had subconsciously gave myself a Phyrra cut! (Cleopatra bangs FTW!)

Monday's Look!

I'm kind of late posting this as Andrew was playing Counter-Strike all morning and afternoon (bleh!)

I wasn't planning on wearing anything today because I was lazy and wanted to sleep in before work.

Instead I got off my ass and here's my look:

Sunday's FOTD!

I was actually able to SLEEP last night.

That is, until the 2nd youngest in the house decided to scream at the foot of the stairs (right next to our bedroom) at two in the f*cking morning!

>:[

So I woke up around 7 and couldn't fall back asleep. I figured I'd run by the apartment office we're renting from next month and drop off our proof of income to get things rolling a day earlier. So you know what that means....

MAKEUP TIME!

Morgana Minerals Lipstick Swatches PT. I

I promised I would have the Morgana Minerals vegan lipstick swatches up soon, so here's Part I. These are all of the bright/colored lipstick samples I have. Some of them are a little on the dried-out side since I've had them for a while, so they might not look TOO good in the pictures. But I assure you, when I first got them, they were moist and went on beautifully.

Morgana's vegan lipsticks are long-lasting, some are very opaque, and all are VERY moisturizing--even the black lippies!! They are priced at 50 cents for a sample, and $10.00 for a fullsize, which I thought was overpriced at first, but that's when I didn't know much about "vegan/all natural" products--they're a bit more expensive to produce! You figure MAC crap is over $15 for a lipstick, amirite? And MAC isn't vegan!

Plus you can get unusual colors at anytime of the year at Morgana Minerals that you would normally have to wait 'til Halloween to buy!

Melissa of Morgana Minerals is also working on vegan lipglosses, due to be released sometime this month, in which all of us in the beauty world that know of Morgana Minerals are itching to try!

Onto the swatches!

Morgana Minerals mini-review and eyeshadow swatches

Hello again everyone!

Today I am blogging about Morgana Minerals. Morgana Minerals is a small little company based in Arizona and is run by a woman named Melissa. The company's website is pretty easy to navigate, and you can make a wish list of all the pretty-sparkly-omgiwant stuff. There is also a forum, but it is rarely active :/

I was posting a bunch of reviews one night of the lipsticks on Morgana's website and I got an email the next morning from Melissa thanking me for the good reviews and asked if I wanted to pre-order the Azaela Blue vegan lipstick. Ooohhh I SOO wanted it (and it was very nice of her to have contacted me from my 3498439 reviews on her site!), but didn't have the money, so a lucky person stole/bought my potential lipstick :(

That's as far as I've gotten with customer service. She was really nice when I talked to her for that brief time. I don't think I've seen a bad review of MM yet, so don't be scared to try them! Even if you have all the eyeshadows in the world, at least TRY THE LIPSTICKS! THEY'RE AMAZING!

Anyway.

Today's Look: Au-Naturale

I've basically been up since about 2 this morning. A bunch of drama in Andrew's family's household -.-

I was going to get up at 6:30 and to my makeup, but I wanted to sleep a little longer since I slept in pieces and every little sound woke me up all last night/this morning. So I had my alarm set for 7.

Didn't get out of bed 'til 7:05

Needed to leave by 7:15.

Didn't get into the car until 7:30.

xD bahahaha!

So this is me with practically NO MAKEUP ON!

Fyrinnae: mini-review and swatches

Alright everyone! I ordered my Fyrinnae samples ages ago, but rarely used them. I swatched them, then put them back in my makeup stash and they've been there every since!

I've only ordered once, and the shipping took a couple weeks (they are always backed up by 1-2 weeks anyway), so for the time frame, it's what I expected. There are raves all over blogs about Fyrinnae, and I first heard about them from Phyrra.

Their colors are SO saturated, as you will see in my pictures, that they look DAMN good on bare skin without any sort of primer. Usually most colors are washed out--the 7 I have swatched look pretty nice without even using a shadow base or the pixie epoxy.

You can order samples (which come in jars!), and they cost around 2.00. The samples are pretty generous (1/3 tsp), so they would last a while until you decided if you wanted a full size.

Yesterday I decided to try my sample of their Glow Blush in Enchant, and I was appalled that I had never given it a shot before!! It looks like a bright orange in the jar, but goes on a peachy-pink sheen that looks very sun-kissed! Would look excellent on someone that has paler skin than me!

So tonight I'm breaking out my little stash of Fyrinnae's eyeshadows, the three lip lustres I own, my sample of blush, and will be using their very own Pixie Epoxy for their shadow awesomeness demonstration.

EvilShades Cosmetics mini-review and swatches

Alright, well I placed an order with EvilShades in November of December of last year. I remember it didn't take long to ship to me, and I fell in love with the colors.

But I only wore this brand (don't remember which color!) once.

Why?

Because I have an endless stash of Aromaleigh, of course!

A few days ago I decided to break out my sample binder and play with these shadows! The samples are very generous, and do not cost that much. I'd recommend getting the sample set and try all the colors--they are all beautiful. I didn't think I'd wear something like Mysteria of the Illusions shadows, but it would be a very pretty highlight color!

I'm wearing Banshee and Venom today, and so far so good, they haven't creased on me!

Today, I am giving you swatches galore of the shadows I have, as well as the four lipglosses I own. I bought a sample set of shadows back then, and I believe these are her current colors right now. I believe the only ones I don't have is the wonderland eye shadow set.

I'm BLUE a-ba-dee-da-buh-diee

So this morning my boss texts me at 6:30 saying to come in around 9:45 since there was nothing on the books today. I decide to wash my face, throw some clothes on, and see if I could beat everyone in line at the DMV because I still need to get registration on the car we bought last week. I got there at about 7:05 (they open at 8!) and there were about 80 people standing outside.

Screw that! Guess I'll have to go in one morning at about 6AM!

So I went by Sam's Club and got some socks and a book, then headed home.

I texted my boss asking her if things had picked up yet, and she said I could just take the day off. Praise the lord! WOOHOO!!

So in celebration, I put my face on. =]

Excuse the headband and shirt, they don't match anymore now that I went "blue" for the day. xD

Nails of the Night!

I found on Zoffe's Makeup Blog a nail art technique called water marbelling.

I decided to give it a shot. Bear with me, these pics suck, and the nail art sucks even more, but I think I'm doing good for a beginner! The blue-based nails were my first nails since I'm left handed. My left fingers look a little better since I was able to get the swirls right before they started drying out.

A couple of times (read: every time), as you can see, I forgot to tape my nails because I was so excited that the swirls looked pretty so I dunked my finger in. Derr >.<

Neutral Look

This was my FOTD from yesterday. I had to run a couple of errands and wanted at least a little bit of makeup on today.

Those that know me know I'm not too fond of neutrals. I like bright and obnoxious.

Anyway, here ya go!

Rainbow Eyes!

This was a TEN MINUTE LOOK I did two days ago. I woke up with a wild hare up my ass, and decided to do something complicated right before work. I was actually a few mins late to work because of this! xD

So here is a little bit about me....

Alright, so since I'm a new blogger, I wanted to share a little bit of myself with you.

Most of the gals on the Aromaleigh forum know who I am, but those of you that found my blog by chance, here are some tid-bits about me:
